The FC Kutzhof is a football club from the Saarland Heusweiler belonging Kutzhof .
history
FC Kutzhof was founded in 1957. The club's sporting boom began at the end of the 1990s, when it was possible to move up from the district league A, via the district and regional league to the Saar association league within three years .
In 2005, Kutzhof was able to win the Saarland Cup for the first time . In the final in Schiffweiler against 1. FC Saarbrücken II it was 3: 3 at break. In the second half, Kutzhof quickly took the lead, but got the 4-4 equalizer one minute before the end of the game. Because the extension remained goalless, the penalty shoot-out had to decide, which Kutzhof won 7-6 (Kutzhof missed four penalties, Saarbrücken II even five). This was the only time in the club's history that FC Kutzhof reached the DFB Cup , where it lost 3-0 to Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach on August 21, 2005 in the first main round . The game was played in front of 8,000 spectators in Saarbrücken's Ludwigsparkstadion .
In the 2005/06 season the club won the championship in the Saar Association League , and thus could have been promoted to the Oberliga Südwest . For financial reasons, however, the club withdrew its team on July 10, 2006 from the league game operation. In the 2009/10 season the club started in the 10th class district league A Ill-Theel. In 2014 he was promoted to the Neunkirchen district league and in 2019 to the North Regional League.
