The FC Vomp is an Austrian football club from the market town of Vomp in District Schwaz in Tyrol founded and was the 1957th The greatest success of the football department was in 1961/62 when it took part in the Landesliga Tirol, a league of what was then the third Austrian division. The fighting team plays in the regional league.

history

The history of FC Vomp began on March 13, 1957 when it was founded by Franz Wieser, Herbert Troger, Franz Kaltenhauser, Hans and Marianne Mühlbacher and Josef Tschugnall with 37 players. In 1960 the sports field was completed with the support of Mayor Josef Steinlechner.

In 1962 the team made it into the Tyrolean regional league. In 1964 the football club joined the newly created regional league east. In 1979 the sports field got a floodlight system, in 1980 the club expanded its sports center. In 1994 the Vomper celebrated the championship title of the regional league east. and after 30 years rose to the Landesliga Ost, in which they were immediately relegated. In 1997 the promotion to the Landesliga Ost succeeded again and a year later, in 1998, as runner-up in the Tyrolean League, in which the club had to relegate to the Landesliga Ost again after a year. Three years of Landesliga Ost followed. In the next few years the club was either in the regional league East, 1st class East or in the 2nd class East. In 2010, the Vomper rose to the District League East, 2012 from the 1st class East, 2013 in the District League East and 2019 in the Regional League East.
