history
- founding
SV Zams has its roots in the Zams winter sports club, or WSV Zams for short, and in the Zams football club, or FC Zams for short. The winter sports association was founded on January 22nd, 1928 in the Zum Hirschen inn . Present were master butcher Sepp Zangerl, who was elected chairman, and Guido Decristoforo as his deputy. Nikolaus Deisenberger took on the role of cashier, Kundmann teacher and Josef Haueis were the secretaries. The driver was Eberhard Reheis, the toboggan sport was headed by Thomas Hudecek and the ice sport was headed by Gotthard Schnegg.
- Nazi era
After the connection, an extraordinary general meeting was held by chairman Pichler in the Gasthaus Zum Hirschen , the statutes of the NS Reichsbund for physical exercises were adopted and Eberhard Reheis was unanimously adopted as the club leader after consultation with the NSDAP.
- post war period
After the Second World War, in May 1945, the statutes were taken over again before the Nazi era and the clubs started operations, the Zams winter sports club under the leadership of interim chairman Hermann Pichler, and the FC Zams. At the meeting on January 19, 1946, the club's management elected Sepp Zanger for the third time as chairman. This time was one of the most difficult times the club had to experience and so the club management decided to dissolve both clubs, the Zams winter sports club and the Zams soccer club, on November 17, 1946 and to found a joint club, SV Zams.
In addition to winter sports and football, other sports sections emerged: chess (1956), tobogganing (1970) and tennis (1972).
