The FIL Fund Bank GmbH (formerly: Frankfurt Fund Bank GmbH ) (FFB) is a fund for safekeeping of investment funds for private and institutional investors based in Kronberg im Taunus . The FFB has been part of the Fidelity Group since October 2009 .

history

The FFB was founded on January 1, 2002 by FRANKFURT-TRUST Investment-Gesellschaft mbH in Frankfurt am Main as a processing and sales platform for investment funds. On July 1, 2004, the FFB announced the opening of the hundred thousandth custody account at the Frankfurter Fondsbank. On April 11, 2005, the bank announced that it would break even. At that time, the bank was managing a portfolio of EUR 8.6 billion in 745,000 custody accounts.

Since it was founded in January 2002, the number of employees has increased from 30 to 110, the number of investment accounts from 360,000 to 920,000 and the investment volume from 2.6 billion euros to 14.6 billion euros. According to the bank, this corresponds to an average annual increase of more than 20 percent.

On August 5, 2009, BHF-BANK sold 100 percent of its subsidiary to Fidelity International . In the course of the takeover, the name of the bank changed from Frankfurter Fondsbank GmbH to FIL Fondsbank GmbH.

In November 2012, the company's headquarters were relocated from Frankfurt am Main to Kronberg im Taunus.
