The FK Bor (full official name in Serbian : Фудбалски клуб Бop - Бop, Fudbalski klub Bor - FK Bor ) is a Serbian football club from Bor . The club currently plays in the lower leagues of the country.

history

The club was founded in 1919 as Asotiation Sportive Bor ( ASB ). After the Second World War , the club was called Radnički FK Bor ( RFK Bor ), then Borski sportski klub ( BSK ) and a short time later Rudarski FK Bor ( RFK Bor ), until it was renamed FK Bor in 1974. From 1963 the club played in the second division of Socialist Yugoslavia (1945-1992) until 1968 made the leap into the first division . There you always played against relegation. In 1968 the club surprisingly reached the cup final , but lost 7-0 to the double winner Red Star Belgrade . This acquired the right to start the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1968/69 . The club currently plays in the lower leagues of the country.

Stadion

The kraj Pirita stadium is the club's “pure” football stadium with seats for 4,000–5,000 . The city is the location of one of the largest copper mines in Europe, which is why the stadium was given the name kraj Pirita , which roughly means "next to the pyrite".
