The FK Sasa Makedonska Kamenica (Macedonian ФК Саса Македонска Каменица ) is a North Macedonian football club from the place Sasa in the Makedonska Kamenica region . The players are also known as rudari (miners). The club's most successful period is in the 1990s. Today the club plays in the Vtora Makedonska League East.
history
The football club FK Sasa was founded in 1968 by the miners working there and the successes are closely related to the operation of the mine in Sasa. From 1992 to 2001, the club played in the top Macedonian league, the Prva Makedonska Liga , after becoming champions of the Yugoslav Republic League in 1992. With the end of mine production at the end of the 1990s, FK Sasa also went downhill into the third class. In the 2016/17 season, the club rose again to the 2nd division.
