The FUMs magazine is a German-language online magazine , which is the subject since 2014 soccer worked up in a humorous and satirical way. The abbreviation "FUMS" stands for FU ssball M eight S pass. A podcast with similar content has been published under the name FUMS & GRÄTSCH since 2017 .

FUMS was founded in 2014 before the soccer World Cup by Cord Sauer, who was studying media culture at the University of Bremen and aspiring to become a sports journalist . The original domain name was fussballmachtspass.de. The content of the website consisted of entertaining and amusing articles about football and the World Cup, as well as interviews and comments.
Since it was founded, the magazine has been designed by a team of permanent and freelance employees. In the “Work records” section, authors summarize particularly funny or curious lines of text from German football commentators. Other categories that can be found on the website are sayings, columns, interviews, eye-catchers and interjections. Funny sayings related to football, football gags under the heading #AUFEIGENEGEFAHR, Photoshop battles, bullshit bingos, memes and website posts are published daily on Facebook , Twitter and Instagram . With the #FRITZLOVE campaign, FUMS paid tribute to the commentator Fritz von Thurn und Taxis in 2017 .
Podcasts
In October 2017, the editorial team started the podcast FUMS & GRÄTSCH. Shortly after the first episode appeared, the podcast was number 1 on the iTunes podcast charts for two days . During the 2017/18 Bundesliga season , an episode of the podcast appeared weekly, usually on Sunday. During the 2018 World Cup , the podcast published an episode every Monday for seven weeks. An episode of the podcast has appeared weekly since the 2018/19 Bundesliga season , usually on Mondays. An episode has a length of half an hour to a full hour, the podcast is moderated by Max Fritzsching and Michael Strohmaier. The football podcast has hosted Florian-Schmidt Sommerfeld , Jan Köppen , Lisa Ramuschkat , Nele Schenker , Ivan Klasnić and Lars Wallrodt , among others .
