The Fath Union Sport , known in Morocco by the abbreviation FUS ( Arabic اتحاد الفتح الرياضي, DMG Ittiḥād al-Fatḥ ar-riyāḍī ), is a Moroccan football club in Rabat . In addition to four cup wins, the club was able to win the Moroccan runner-up four times.
history
The association was founded on April 10, 1946. After the country gained independence in 1956, the club was one of the founding members of the Groupement National de Football . In 1961, the team had to relegate for the first time, but managed to get promoted again. There followed long years in the first class, which were crowned by four cup wins and the runner-up in 1973, 1974 and 1981. In 1995, when the last trophy was won with the fourth cup victory in the club's history, the club had to relegate to GNF 2 again . In 1998 they returned as second division champions and in 2001 the team finished the season again as runners-up. But just two years later, being bottom of the table, the second class crashed again. In the summer of 2007, FUS was again second division champions and managed to return to the Moroccan House of Lords. In 2010 the club achieved its greatest success by winning the CAF Confederation Cup .
