The FV Fahrnau 1921 eV is a German football club based in the suburb Fahrnau of Baden-Württemberg City Schopfheim in Lörrach district .

history

Founded until World War II

The first soccer games took place in Fahrnau even before the club was founded, but the First World War thwarted the plan. After the end of the war, on June 6, 1921, an association was founded with the FV. From autumn of the same year the club was able to take part in the association games. After the championship in the C-class in 1928 the championship in the B-class was also successful, and through victories in the promotion games, you also got into the A-class . In 1932, the championship in the A-class and promotion to the district class followed . This was followed by the championship in 1935, which enabled another promotion to the district class . After the 1938/39 season, they were promoted to the then second-class South Baden regional league . The rest of the game except for the youth teams fell victim to the outbreak of World War II .

post war period

After the end of the war, the Sportfreunde Fahrnau association was re-established on June 30, 1946. For the 1946/47 season , the club then rose to the then second- class upper class South Baden . With 19:17 points, the team placed fourth in the season south, with which the team just made the cut to be able to play in the next season after the reduction of the division. From the next season the league was called Landesliga Südbaden again, but this time the club had to relegate again with 7:37 points. After the possibility of several clubs per location was given again, the FV was founded after almost four years from the large club. The club was given its old name back in June 1950.

Crash down to the lowest division

In 1951, it was finally promoted to the 2nd amateur league, in which the club was based until 1955, but then had to relegate to the A-class . After many years in the class, the club finally had to relegate to the B-class in 1968 . The team was to spend a few years here again until it should be enough for promotion to the A-class in the 1974/75 season . But after the 1976/77 season, things went back down to the B-Class . After the 1978/79 season, however, the championship and thus promotion to the newly introduced district league succeeded here again . After one season, however, the relegation to the district league A was again . Another season later, there was even further relegation to the district league B.

Status as elevator team to this day

After a turbulent 1980s with numerous changes in the board of directors, the qualification for the promotion round for the district league A finally succeeded as second in the table, which was then also successfully completed in the end. After a year, however, the relegation back to the district league B was due again. The next championship should then be waiting until the 1997/98 season. This league could be held in the following season. The time here should then last until the 2002/03 season, after which the FV had to relegate. With 67 points, after the 2005/06 season, with 67 points, the championship in the district league B succeeded again. In the following years, the relegation battle was actually on in the season. Only later could you establish yourself in the upper midfield. After the 2011/12 season finally won the championship with 55 points in the district league A. In the district league, relegation could then be just secured with 32 points. After another season in which the league was barely held, it then went down again after the 2014/15 season with 19 points as bottom of the table. In the district league A, it was then no longer enough for the very front, after the 2017/18 season the club even had to go into relegation, at the end of which you then go back to the district league after a return game against the second team of SV 08 Laufenburg B had to dismount. After finishing second with only one point behind the champions in the 2018/19 season, they were able to qualify again for the promotion relegation. Here, however, the TuS Binzen failed . Thus the club still plays in the district league B today.
