The South Baden Regional Soccer League (consisting of three seasons) is the second highest league of the South Baden Soccer Association and, according to state leagues, the seventh highest league in the German league system after DFB state associations . It is one of three regional leagues in Baden-Württemberg , along with the Baden State League and the Württemberg State League .
The champions of the three seasons of the Landesliga Südbaden are automatically promoted to the Association League Südbaden . The three runners-up take part in a promotion round to the association league, in which everyone plays once against the others; the first placed rises. If there are more relegated members from the association league and those who have been relegated from the district leagues than relegators in the district league and promoted members in the association league, the number of teams increases, which can lead to a higher number of relegated teams in the following season.
