The FV Donaueschingen is a football club from the southern Baden Donaueschingen .

history

The club was founded in 1920 as FC Donaueschingen and, after the Second World War, started as Spvgg Donaueschingen and later as SV Donaueschingen . Through the merger of SV Donaueschingen with Sportfreunde Rot-Weiß Donaueschingen , today's FV Donaueschingen was created in 1972 . The club achieved its greatest success in 1994 when it became champions of the Südbaden Association League and rose to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga . In the following year, FV Donaueschingen, bottom of the table, had to relegate directly with only 18:46 points and 30:61 goals.

As a club division, the club won the Südbadischer Pokal in 1996 and qualified for participation in the 1996/97 DFB Cup . In the first main round they lost 1: 3 to 1. FC Köln . At the end of the 2006/2007 season, the FVD rose from the Association League South Baden to the Landesliga Südbaden, Season 3. In the 2009/10 season of the Landesliga Südbaden Season 3, FV Donaueschingen was sovereign champion and thus rose again to the Association League South Baden.

The FV Donaueschingen withdrew its team on July 29, 2012 with immediate effect from the game operations of the Association League South Baden. Thus, the FV Donaueschingen, without a competitive game, was the first relegated from the Verbandsliga Südbaden in the 2012/13 season. The team was looking for a new beginning after a year of “forced break” in the Landesliga Südbaden. After 10th place in the 2013/14 season, she ended up in last place in the 2014/15 season. This resulted in relegation to the Black Forest district league. In the first back round match of the 2015/16 season, it was difficult to set up a team despite a squad of 25 players. The club then withdrew the team that was in last place in the district league from playing. Since the 2017/18 season, the club has only been participating in games with a few players in junior syndicates. In the men's game business, Donaueschingen is represented by local rivals DJK (regional league) and SSC (regional league A).

In May 2018, the club was provisionally excluded from the association due to financial arrears with the South Baden Football Association. The SERV waived legal action. Today the association is no longer active.
