The football club Wied 03 Niederbieber was a German football club based in Niederbieber, a district of the Rhineland-Palatinate town of Neuwied in the district of the same name .

history

The club was founded in 1903 when the colors were set to blue and white. Due to the First World War , gaming operations were severely affected. From 1919 on, real gaming operations could be resumed. The team has become more and more successful over the years. Due to a change in the division structure, the club was even allowed to compete in the first-class Mittelrhein regional league in the West German game association for the 1931/32 season . This season the team even made it to the finals of the Mittelrhein District Cup, but lost 5: 3 at SC 07 Bad Neuenahr . However, due to the Second World War , gaming operations came to a standstill one more time.

Already from 1945 to 1946 the club played together with VfL Segendorf in a loose syndicate to make up for the lack of players after the end of the war. The team then managed to move up again for the 1961/62 season in the third-class amateur league Rhineland . After the league became single-track again after the 1962/63 season, the FV did not make the cut and had to relegate with 18:30 points over tenth place again.

In 1966, a new permanent syndicate followed with the club from Segendorf , followed a year later by the merger to form the new club VfL Wied Niederbieber-Segendorf 1881/1903 .
