Fabian Gartmann
Fabian Gartmann (* 1984 ) is a German journalist.
Career
Fabian Gartmann first studied geography, history, politics and philosophy in Bonn . However, he dropped out of college. He then began training as a journalist at the Axel Springer School of Journalism , which he completed at Bild am Sonntag . For the BamS he worked as a reporter in the news department until he switched to the Handelsblatt as a reporter for investigative research in April 2012 . Then he left journalism and founded the startup "Get a cam" with his brother Sebastian in 2015, which was taken over by the Rocket Internet subsidiary "Campsy" in February 2017.
Awards
- 2013: Henri Nannen Prize in the documentation category, together with Sönke Iwersen for the article "Shop closing" in the Handelsblatt about the entrepreneur Anton Schlecker .
- 2013: Heinrich Heine Journalism Prize
- 2013: Helmut Schmidt journalist award for the article Die Abzocker about "professional plaintiffs" at general meetings
