Fabio Ricardo Díez Steinaker (born November 18, 1965 in Santa Fe ) is a former Spanish beach volleyball player of Argentinian origin.

Career

Díez completed his first international tournaments in late 1996 with Javier Bosma . The two Spaniards took 17th place at the first World Cup in Los Angeles . Two years later they just barely missed a medal in Marseille by losing to the Brazilians Pará / Marques . At the European Championships in Palma they were only defeated in the final by the Swiss defending champions Martin and Paul Laciga . The Olympic tournament in Sydney ended for them in the quarter-finals against the German duo Ahmann / Hager . Then they separated.

With his new partner Agustin Correa Díez retired at the 2001 World Cup in the first main round against the Russians Saizew / Karassew . In the following year he played a few tournaments with Juan Claudio Garcia Thompson , without reaching any front placements.
