Career

Bosma reached the final of the European Championship in Almería in 1994 , which he lost with Santiago Aguilera against the Norwegians Kvalheim / Maaseide . In the following two years, he and Sixto Jiménez achieved several top ten placements in open and world series tournaments, including third in Espinho and second in Tenerife . Bosma / Jimenez took part in the Atlanta Olympic tournament and finished fifth.

Then Bosma formed a new duo with Fabio Díez . The two Spaniards took 17th place at the first World Cup in Los Angeles . Two years later they just barely missed a medal in Marseille by losing to the Brazilians Pará / Marques . At the European Championships in Palma they were only defeated in the final by the Swiss defending champions Martin and Paul Laciga . The Olympic tournament in Sydney ended for them in the quarter-finals against the German duo Ahmann / Hager . Then they separated.

With his new partner Antonio Cotrino Heras , Bosma lost in the first main round of the 2001 World Cup against the Americans Blanton / Fonoimoana . At the next World Cup tournament in 2003 , he competed with Pablo Herrera Allepuz and in the same round had to admit defeat to the later Brazilian overall winners Ricardo / Emanuel . In the following year Bosma / Herrera reached the quarter-finals of the EM in Timmendorfer Strand , which they lost in three sets against the Swiss Egger / Heyer . Two months later they won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Athens after losing in the final against Ricardo / Emanuel .

After playing with Ortiz Vargas and Juan Claudio Garcia Thompson in 2005, Bosma had to be content with tied last place at the 2006 European Championship in The Hague . At the end of the year he ended his international career after several knee operations.
