Fabio Geda (born March 1, 1972 in Turin ) is an Italian writer and journalist .

Life

Fabio Geda studied communication science and worked as a teacher and in the social field before he became known and a bestselling author with the publication of his second novel Crocodiles Swimming in the Sea . In this book, which is also available in German translation and has been published in 18 countries according to the publisher, he tells the story of the ten-year-old Afghan boy Enaiatollah, who set off on a dangerous escape to Europe before he was threatened with enslavement by the Pashtuns and Taliban . The story is based on the stories of the young Enaiatollah Akbari, whom Geda met at a reading in Italy . The success of this novel led to the fact that the debut novel by the author Emil's miraculous journey and The summer at the end of the century were translated into German.

Fabio Geda lives in Turin.
