Fabricio Ferrari Barcelo (born June 3, 1985 in Santa Lucía ) is a Uruguayan road cyclist.

Athletic career

Fabricio Ferrari was Uruguayan time trial champion in 2002 . Ferrari, who has lived in Spain since around 2005, won the second stage of the Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay in 2005 . At the Pan American Championships in Mar del Plata , Argentina , he won the bronze medal in the individual time trial of the U23 class.

In the following years Ferrari contested and won various national road races in Spain. In 2013 he started at the Vuelta a España and finished 121st in the overall ranking, at his start in 2017 he was 56th.

Since the beginning of Ferrari's career in the elite, he has been riding for Team Caja Rural , making him the team member with the longest membership in 2016, a “survivor” as a Spanish cycling website wrote. In this interview, Ferrari stated that he could not remember his last victory, but was still determined to support his team as a helper.
