Specialist for fruit juice technology

The specialist for fruit juice technology is a state-recognized training occupation in Germany according to the Vocational Training Act .

Duration of training and structure

The training period to become a specialist in fruit juice technology is usually three years. The training takes place at the training company and vocational school .

Work areas

Fruit juice technology specialists produce juices and soft drinks . They prepare raw materials for production, process raw materials and mix the necessary ingredients into ready-to-drink products. Compliance with hygienic regulations plays a special role. Skilled workers for fruit juice technology find their jobs in the fruit juice industry, with operators of mineral fountains and in the soft drinks industry. But you can also work in fruit wine making.

Training allowance

The amount of the training remuneration is usually based on the collective bargaining agreement. The Federal Association of the German Confectionery Industry e. V. has agreed the following training allowances for Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein , for example :

  • 1st year of training: 537.00 euros
  • 2nd year of training: 607.00 euros
  • 3rd year of training: 710.00 euros.

There is only one vocational school in Germany for this apprenticeship, the vocational schools in the Rheingau in Geisenheim .
