The Fafa is a river in the Central African Republic and the right tributary of the Ouham .
course
The Fafa rises about 25 km east of Bogangola . It initially runs in a north-easterly direction through a plateau and after approx. 50 km makes an arc in a north-westerly direction. After 114 km it reaches the water level in Bouca and finally flows into the Ouham after another 158 km in Batangafo.
Water management
In the course of the increasingly dry Lake Chad, there are considerations to connect the Ubangi with the Fafa via a 184 km long canal in order to supply the Chad Basin with water from the Congo catchment area.
Hydrometry
Average monthly flow of the Fafa measured at the hydrological station in Bouca , about 150 km above the confluence with the Ouham in m³ / s.
