Fagira D. Morti (d. I. Margit Adorf , born February 14, 1974 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian journalist and poet .

Life

Fagira D. Morti graduated from high school in Tallinn in 1992. She then studied journalism for a while at the University of Tartu , but without graduating. She lives as a freelance journalist and author in Tallinn.

Fagira D. Morti made her debut in 1995 with a first volume of poetry and then published poetry in Looming magazine . At the end of the 20th century, she appeared together with Jan Kaus , Kalju Kruusa and Juku-Kalle Raid in the group Õigem valem ('right, wrong' or 'the more correct formula'). The group presented several edited volumes, some of which offer experimental information.

Her poems are characterized by a “dark humor, a macabre ambiguity”, because in their “normality” there is always something “indefinite, threatening, ominous, downright obscene and decadent”.

Some poems by Fagira D. Morti have also been published in English translation.
