The driver Parade (often engl. 'Presentation Drivers or Drivers' parade ) is part of many motor sports events , at which participants in a convoy are presented to the viewers. The racing drivers are mostly driven around the track in open vehicles, either as a group on the open loading area of a truck or individual drivers in convertibles . The driver parade is now common in Formula 1 , MotoGP races, the 24-hour races of Le Mans as well as on the Nürburgring and other racing series or individual events. In some motor sports ( e.g. rallycross ), an autograph session known as a meet & greet is held for the fans after the driver parade .

Before the driver parade , grid girls often stand at the racetrack to greet the drivers. The drivers are either driven around the route together on a truck bed, or individually chauffeured around the route in a vintage convertible and are introduced to the audience. The driver parade is a compulsory part of the event for all Formula 1 drivers.
