Driving game

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In traffic engineering, driving game is the movement sequence of vehicles .

General

This movement or travel sequence consists of the phases starting , driving , braking and stopping , which in turn is followed by starting. The driving game also includes stopping, the phases of movement and braking. The driving game is the basis for creating picture and book timetables .

application

The driving game depends on the driving characteristics of the vehicle (speed, acceleration, deceleration), the course of the route (curves, incline), the maximum permissible speed and the time spent stopping. Reasons for stopping can be traffic law (red traffic lights ) or the stops for local public transport (ÖPNV) . The driving game is therefore primarily required to create timetables in public transport. This also includes the design of drive, power supply and routing of a traffic route assumed for a defined vehicle.

The driving game influences the driving time , so that the stopping time at stops is particularly important for passengers to get on and off.
