Fakaifou is one of the central villages of Fongafale Island , the main island of the Funafuti Atoll , which together form the Funafuti Center . In 2012 the place had 1,191 inhabitants (according to other data 1007 (geonames.org)).

The place is in the east of the island. Together with Senala , Alapi and Vaiaku , it forms the center of the settlement. Teone joins to the north .
