Fandriana is a rural community on the east coast of Madagascar . It is the headquarters of the district of the same name and is located in the Amoron'i Mania region . Most of its population are betsileos .

geography

The village is at the end of national road 41 , approx. 41 km from the intersection with national road 7 in Ikelilapona near Ambositra . Located at around 1400 m above sea level, the place has a pleasantly fresh climate with vegetation that is determined by pine trees and eucalyptus .

nature

In the Fandriana-Marolambo area there is a national park that covers around 95,000 hectares.

economy

Ambodivoara , a traditional sugarcane schnapps, is distilled in the area .
