Fanny von Bernstorff
Fanny Countess von Bernstorff (born September 1, 1840 in Oldenburg in Holstein , † October 30, 1930 in Preetz ) was a German illustrator and children's book author .
Life
In the 1860s she attended the art academy in Dresden . After the death of her mother Marie Countess of Holstein (1811-1870) she appeared as Miss school in the monastery Preetz one which after the Reformation in an aristocratic convent was transformed. A year later she became a conventual.
She stayed on the Bothkamp and Wittmoldt estates , where she made many paintings and drawings.
At the turn of the 20th century she wrote a number of children's books, which she illustrated herself. Her books were mostly self-published .
