Faridkot ( Panjabi ਫ਼ਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ) is a city in the Indian state of Punjab .

Faridkot is the administrative center of the district of the same name . The city lies between Firozpur and Bathinda . The national highway NH 15 (Bathinda - Amritsar ) runs through Faridkot. In the 2011 census, the population was 85,435. Faridkot was the capital of the princely state of the same name .
