Faridkot ( Punjabi : ਫ਼ਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ) is a district in the Indian state of Punjab .

The district is located in the Faridkot Division, founded in 1996 . Previously, the district was assigned to the Firozpur division. It covers an area of ​​1475.7 km². The administrative seat is the city of the same name Faridkot .
