Mansa ( Punjabi : ਮਾਨਸਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ) is a district in the Indian state of Punjab .

The district was detached on April 13, 1992 from what was then the Bathinda district . He belongs to the Faridkot division . It covers an area of ​​2198 km². The administrative seat is the city of the same name Mansa . The district is located in the so-called "cotton belt" of Punjab. In the extreme south, the Ghaggar River crosses the district. The most widely spoken and official language is Punjabi .
