The Farquharson Nunatak is only 22 m high nunatak on the Nordenskjöld coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Sobral Peninsula, it rises 2.1 km northwest of Mount Lombard .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the Nunatak on May 13, 1991 after geologist Geoffrey W. Farquharson of the British Antarctic Survey , who was active in the area in two Antarctic summer campaigns between 1979 and 1981.
