The alpine pasture Hala Pięć Stawów (German: Fünfseental) is an alpine pasture in the Dolina Pięciu Stawów Polskich valley in the Polish High Tatras in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship .
history
The alpine pasture was established in the 17th century and was in operation until the Tatra National Park was founded in 1954. The Nowobilski family from the village of Białka Tatrzańska have been the owners since 1637 . The last owners were the Wojtanek family from Brzegi village . The owners were expropriated in 1961. Since cattle farming was stopped, the alpine pasture has grown over with mountain pines. There are still huts on the mountain pasture.
