Fast Food Duel - Top Chef Against Delivery Service was a program broadcast by the TV station Kabel 1 from Monday to Friday . A fast-food restaurant or a snack competed against a top chef at the participants' home.

An assistant to the cook bought the groceries in a local shop or market. After delivery to the cook, the assistant drove to the participating restaurant to report on the preparation and to pick up the dishes ordered there.

concept

The format is an entertainment program. The goal of both parties is to win the points evaluation. The overall rating consists of six points. The first point evaluates the product price, two points the waiting time and three points the taste .

Points such as cleanliness or friendliness are not included in the evaluation. The quality of the products is only rated for the taste point.

price

The evaluation point for the price is determined on the basis of the price in the restaurant upon collection and the final price of the purchased goods for the chef.

The cook uses the goods available in the household that are not included in the price calculation. The quantity of purchased and actual products is not assessed. In some episodes, high-priced goods have to be bought (e.g. the basic spice black pepper ), which are only used to a minimal extent for the comparison and can also be used later.

speed

The “speed” criterion was won by the person who first arranged the meal on a plate and placed it in a given space.

The assistant first collects the food for the cook and delivers it. Then he drives to the restaurant, picks up the goods and delivers them. The order is placed when the cook has also received the additionally purchased goods and the assistant to the restaurant starts.

taste

The testers give the three taste points subjectively.

In most of the episodes it is two people who rate the taste. In some cases up to four people, rarely more. Each person can award up to 10 points. Whoever has the highest overall rating wins the three individual points “Taste”.

Overall rating

While each of the three factors was initially worth one point, the scoring principle was later changed so that there was one point for price, two points for speed and three points for taste. In the event of a tie, the delivery service won, as it was the top chef's job to beat the delivery service.
