Fast Food Song is a pop song by the group Fast Food Rockers from 2003. The refrain is based on the Moroccan folk song A Ram Sam Sam . He mentions McDonald’s , Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut fast food restaurants . Burger Dance by DJ Ötzi with almost identical text and melody is also based on the children's song.

Creation and publication

The song was written by Mike Stock, Steve Crosby, Sandy Rass, Eric Dikeb , Martin Neumayer and Bob Patmore and produced by Stock, Crosby and Rass. It was released as the lead single from their album It's Never Easy Being Cheesy in June 2003 . However, a Dutch version of Eric Dikeb already existed before. However, the English version was the first to hit the charts.

reception

The song was very successful in the UK, reaching number two on the charts and number one in Scotland . The song also achieved other minor chart successes with number 24 in Ireland and number 56 in Australia . The song is controversial because it allegedly encourages overconsumption of fast food by children, which is why some radio stations in the UK did not play it. However, the fast food song has also been used in some advertising campaigns for fast food restaurants in the UK.
