Jens Böther

Jens Böther (* 1966 in Lüneburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He is currently a district of the county Lüneburg .

Böther is a graduate in administration (FH) and computer science business economist (VWA). Before beginning his tenure as district administrator, Böther was mayor of the municipality of Echem from 2001 to 2006 . In addition, from 2001 to 2005 he was a member of the Scharnebeck municipal council . From 2006 to 2019, Böther was mayor of Bleckede .

On June 16, 2019, Böther was elected as the successor to Manfred Nahrstedt ( SPD ) in the runoff election to the district administrator of the Lüneburg district. At the end of 2018, he announced that he would end his office on October 31, 2019. On November 1st, Böther took up the post of district administrator.
