Franz Fietz
Franz Fietz (born January 28, 1941 in Gleiwitz ) is a German local politician ( CDU ).
Life
Fietz studied at the Lüneburg University of Education . He worked as a school principal in Mechtersen , Vögelsen and Bardowick . From 1985 to 1998 he was a school councilor in the Harburg district .
His political career began in 1974 as a member of the Samtgemeinde Council Bardowick , where he remained until 1999th There he was also mayor for many years and from 1991 to 1996 mayor of his place of residence in Mechtersen.
In 1976 he joined the CDU and in the same year moved to the district council of the Lüneburg district . From 1996 to October 2006, the first two years on a voluntary basis, he was District Administrator of the Lüneburg district. He was particularly committed to nature conservation in the district and international understanding.
Franz Fietz is married.
