Wilhelm Albrecht (District Administrator)

Wilhelm Herrmann Friedrich Albrecht (born June 15, 1875 in Hanover ; † November 26, 1946 in Bardowick near Lüneburg ) was a German administrative lawyer and district administrator in the districts of Koschmin , Province of Posen (1908–1917) and Lüneburg , Province of Hanover (1917–1945 ).

Albrecht was the son of a senior administrative judge. He did his military service as a one-year volunteer in 1893/94 and was later lieutenant in the Landwehr. He studied law and became a court trainee in 1896. From September 1899 he was a government trainee in Osnabrück before becoming a government assessor in 1902. In the same year he was a temporary representative of the district administrator in Wreschen and was then transferred to the Sigmaringen government. From October 1902 he was employed by the district office in Schwetzt.

Before his work as district administrator, Wilhelm Albrecht worked in the settlement commission in Poznan from May 1904 . In 1908 he was first acting and then definitely district administrator in Koschmin. From May 1917 he was appointed provisional district administrator in Lüneburg and confirmed there by the district council in November 1917. He remained there until 1945 district administrator.

From September 1, 1919 until 1920 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Hanover .
