Manfred Nahrstedt

Manfred Nahrstedt (* 28. August 1948 in Ochtmersleben ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former district administrator of the district of Lueneburg . From 2003 to 2006 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . He is married and has one child.

education and profession

After attending primary school, Nahrstedt completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. Then he did his alternative service in the v. Bodelschwinghschen Anstalten Bethel and trained as a nurse. He then attended evening school and, after passing an examination for special talents, went to the higher technical school for social work. From 1972 to 1974 he trained as an educator and then worked for five years at Bethel. 1979–1981 he studied social education at the Kiel University of Applied Sciences . From 1982 until his election to the state parliament, he was employed by the Lower Saxony state youth welfare office.

Nahrstedt has been a member of the SPD since 1970. He is chairman of the sub-district of Lüneburg. From 1990 to 2006 he was a member of the council of the Oldendorf community and from 1996 to 2006 a member of the council of the Amelinghausen community and chairman of the local SPD parliamentary group. From March 2003 to October 2006, Nahrstedt was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament. From November 1, 2006 to October 31, 2019, he was District Administrator of the Lüneburg district. Jens Böther became his successor on November 1, 2019 . Nahrstedt is a member of ver.di and the Arbeiterwohlfahrt .
