Fayard Nicholas
Fayard Antonio Nicholas (born October 20, 1914 in Mobile , Alabama , † January 24, 2006 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American dancer , singer and actor .
Fayard Nicholas was known as the Nicholas Brothers along with his brother Harold Nicholas . Between 1932 and 2005 he appeared - sometimes interrupted by long breaks - in several films, including in 1948 in the Gene Kelly film The Pirate . In 1955 he had an appearance in a German film in the Erik Ode film Music in the Blood . Since 1965 he was a member of the Baha'i community.
In 1989 Nicholas got together with Cholly Atkins , Henry LeTang and Frankie Manning the Tony Award for best choreographer for the musical Black and Blue . On the Hollywood Walk of Fame have The Nicholas Brothers own star.
