The Federação Caboverdiana de Atletismo ( Portuguese for: Cape Verde Athletics Association, FCA ) is the umbrella organization for athletics of the West African island republic of Cape Verde . The association was founded in 1989 and is based in the sports complex Pavilhão Desportivo Vává Duarte in Chã de Areia, a district of the capital Praia .

The FCA organizes the national championships for the various disciplines.

In addition, she oversees the participation of her athletes in international competitions, such as the Cape Verdean Olympic teams , the Jogos da Lusofonia , or the World Championships, most recently the Cape Verdean World Cup participation in 2015 .

  • Associação Santiago Norte de Atletismo (northern half of the island of Santiago )
  • Associação Santiago Sul de Atletismo (southern half of the island of Santiago )
  • Associação Regional de Atletismo de Sal ( Sal Island )
  • Associação Regional de Atletismo de S.Vicente ( São Vicente Island )
