The Federazione Sammarinese Nuoto (FSN for short) is the umbrella organization for water sports in the Republic of San Marino . The head office is in Borgo Maggiore .

history

Since it was founded in 1981, the FSN has been a member of the European umbrella association for water sports Ligue Européenne de Natation and the National Olympic Committee Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Sammarinese . The training center for synchronized swimming , water polo and swimming is located in the Multieventi-Sport-Domus facility. As a NOK association, the FSN promotes and organizes the participation of its athletes in national and international championships and organizes competitions itself.

The swimming federation has been participating in the games of the small states of Europe , which are held according to the Charter of the Olympic Games, since 1985 and has some successes:

  • Diego Mularoni , 13 medals, including 6 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals, one with the relay.
  • Emanuele Nicolini , 12 medals, including 4 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals, one with the relay.
  • Simona Muccioli , 6 medals, 4 of which are silver and 2 are bronze.
  • Veronica Carattoni , 4 medals, including 2 silver and 1 bronze medal and a silver medal with the relay.
  • Julian Tomassini , 3 medals, 1 silver, 1 bronze and a silver medal with the relay.
  • Philip Piva , 3 medals, 2 bronze and one silver medal with the relay.

So far, the FSN has not been able to record any medals at the Summer Olympics .
