Life

Ferrari initially dealt with bioethics . Concerning the problem of euthanasia , he developed the concept of dysthanasia, an approach that starts from the idea of the "good death", rejects the sanctity of life and cannot be reduced to a manipulation of the body in a strictly medical-scientific logic.

Influenced by Maurice Blanchot , Jean-Luc Nancy and Giorgio Agamben , Ferrari thematized the unstable balance between communal experience and the atomized society in the globalized world.

Ferrari is also working on subjects related to the image and art, including a study on the deconstructivist approach of the museum institution ( Lo spazio critico ). In collaboration with Jean-Luc Nancy , he wrote two works, The Skin of Images and Iconografia dell'autore .

Ferrari teaches at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and is translator for Georges Bataille , Maurice Merleau-Ponty , Maurice Blanchot , Pierre Klossowski and others.
