Federico Guglielmo Lento (born August 4, 1942 in Filadelfia , † October 25, 2010 in Gela ) was an Italian doctor and politician .

Life

After studying medicine , Lento , who came from Calabria , specialized in the fields of dermatology and infectious diseases . He was a lecturer at the University of Messina .

He died of a sudden illness in 2010 at the age of 68.

politics

After originally being a member of the Communist Party of Italy , Lento was elected to the Italian Chamber of Deputies for the Party of Communist Restoration (PRC) in the 1992 parliamentary elections in the constituency of Palermo - Trapani - Agrigento - Caltanissetta .

In 1996 he was the supported by the PRC center-left - Alliance L'Ulivo again elected to the Chamber of Deputies. After the PRC left this alliance in 1998, Lento moved to the Partito Democratico .

Lento was a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe .
