Federico Puppo , full name Carlos Federico Puppo Gross , (born December 6, 1986 in Colonia del Sacramento ) is a Uruguayan football player .
society
The Colonia- born Puppo, for whom Montevideo is also given as the place of birth, began his career in 2004 with the Montevideo Wanderers in the Uruguayan Primera División and was also part of the squad during the 2006 Clausura . In his last season with the Wanderers, he and his team only finished 14th in the 05/06 overall table at the end of this season, which was for the first time based on a European season rhythm and leading over the turn of the year. Then the 1.78 meter tall Uruguayan, acting as a midfielder or striker, moved to River Plate Montevideo within Montevideo and played there from Apertura 2006 to Clausura 2011. During this time, his club won the Torneo Clausura in 2008 and qualified with fourth place in the Copa Artigas 2008 for taking part in the Copa Sudamericana , which subsequently advanced to the semi-finals for the first time in the club's history. He played the Apertura 2011 for the Uruguayan first division club Danubio FC and finished second with this at the end of the round. He contributed to this with two goals in ten missions. After he moved to MLS club Chicago Fire in January 2012 and subsequently scored two goals in twelve appearances, he returned to his home country on loan in July 2012 and joined Defensor Sporting . There he came in the Apertura 2012 to twelve season appearances in the Primera División (five goals). In 2013 he was also on loan in the squad of the Ecuadorian club LDU Quito , for which he played 13 league games (two goals).
For the 2013/14 season he returned to Uruguay on another loan and joined Defensor again. There he came to the Apertura 2013 for two more assignments. In February 2014, the Chicago Fire Soccer Club and Puppo terminated their contract. No further missions are recorded for him until the end of the 2013/14 season. At the beginning of March 2015, he started working for the first division club Centro Atlético Fénix . With the Montevideans he played in eight league games in the 2015 Clausura (no goal). In August 2015 he joined the first division promoted Plaza Colonia . By the end of the season he played 19 league games there and scored three goals.
National team
Puppo participated with the Uruguayan soccer team in the 2011 Pan American Games . In the course of the tournament he was used twice and scored a goal with the 1-0 winning goal in the group game against the selection of Ecuador. Finally, he secured the bronze medal with the Celeste.
