Federico Winkler
Federico Winkler (born June 17, 1942 in Basel , † July 12, 2013 in Porrentruy ; also Fritz Paul Winkler, artist name Sigambrer ) was a Swiss artist. His work included conceptual art, video, photography, installation, drawings, performance, object art, and painting.
Life
After attending secondary school in Schiers , Winkler studied music at the Basel Conservatory from 1965 to 1968 . Winkler organized numerous exhibitions and performances at home and abroad. He was a friend and former employee of Joseph Beuys . After several long stays abroad in Italy, France, Nepal, America, Spain and Africa, he lived with his family near Porrentruy in the French Jura in Switzerland.
