Federico Zurlo (born June 25, 1994 in Cittadella ) is an Italian racing cyclist .

Career

Federico Zurlo became the Italian junior cyclocross champion in 2011 . The following year he won a stage at the Croatian Tour of Istria stage race , a cycling race for juniors, where he also came third in the overall standings. In 2014 Zurlo joined UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team . At the Arctic Race of Norway 2015 he finished second on the second stage.

In 2016 he moved to Lampre-Merida . There he won one stage of the Tour of Qinghai Lake in 2016 . He also competed in the Vuelta a España 2016 , his first Grand Tours in his career. The following year he also competed in the Vuelta a España , which he finished in 149th place. In the Tour of Turkey in 2017 , Zurlo finished fourth on the first stage. In 2018 he finished fifth on the fifth stage of the Tour of Portugal .
