The UnitedHealthcare Professional Cycling Team was an American cycling team based in Oakland .
The team was initially sponsored by health service company Health Net and tire manufacturer Maxxis. From 2005 the team took part in the UCI America Tour as the UCI Continental Team . In 2006 it received a license as a UCI Professional Continental Team and could thus also be invited to ProTour events. After the team regained its status as a Continental Team from 2008 to 2010, it was again granted a license as a UCI Professional Continental Team in 2011.
After the last main sponsor, the insurance company UnitedHealthcare , stopped funding the team and the management's attempts to find a successor were unsuccessful, the team stopped its activities at the end of the 2018 season. The UnitedHealth Group , which also owns Rally , has focused its cycling sponsorship activities on the Rally UHC Cycling team .
The project also included a UCI women's team .
