Kiel Reijnen (born June 1, 1986 ) is an American road cyclist .

Career

At the end of the 2008 season, Kiel Reijnen was a stagiaire for the Jelly Belly Cycling Team . Here he finished fifth in the Tour of Hainan and also finished fifth in the overall standings. From 2009 he was under contract with the American Continental team . In his second year there he won the first stage of the Tour of Thailand and was able to win the overall standings.

For the 2011 season, Reijnen switched to professional cycling for the UCI Professional Continental Team called Type 1-Sanofi . There he was able to win four stages in the Tour of Rwanda and ultimately won the overall ranking of the tour with a two-second lead over his team-mate Joey Rosskopf .

After a winless year in 2012, Reijnen got a contract with the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team . There he won the American one-day races Philadelphia Cycling Classic (2013, 2014) and Bucks County Classic (2013) as well as stages in the USA Pro Challenge (2014, 2015), the Tour of Utah (2015) and the Tour of the Gila (2013) .

After three years at UnitedHealthcare, Reijnen made the UCI WorldTour in the 2016 season . He signed with Trek-Segafredo in 2016 and won stage four of the Tour of Utah for his new team .
