The 13th Tour of Rwanda took place from November 20-26, 2011 in Rwanda . The bike race was held in a prologue and seven stages over a distance of 1000 kilometers. It was part of the UCI Africa Tour 2012 and was classified in category 2.2 .

Overall winner of the stage race was the American Kiel Reijnen ( Team Type 1 ) with just two seconds ahead of his compatriot and team colleague Joey Rosskopf . The podium was completed by the South African Dylan Girdlestone .

Participating teams

In addition to two domestic selections, there were five national teams from Africa, three amateur teams from Europe and the South African Continental Team MTN Qhubeka . In addition, the Type 1 Sanofi Aventis Team , a Professional Continental Team, was invited.
