The UCI Africa Tour is the African road cycling calendar introduced by the UCI World Cycling Association for the 2005 season below the UCI ProTour (since 2011: UCI WorldTour ) and is part of the UCI Continental Circuits . The seventh season begins on October 1, 2011 and ends on September 30, 2012.
The UCI announced on January 26, 2012 that the three African Continental teams Groupement Sportif Pétrolier Algérie , MTN Qhubeka and Team Bonitas had the right to start all races in the first and second UCI categories due to their placement in a fictional ranking at the start of the season .
