Tarik Chaoufi

Tarik Chaoufi (born February 26, 1986 ) is a Moroccan road cyclist .

In 2006 Tarik Chaoufi came second on the sixth section of the Tour des Aéroports to Gabès . In the 2008 season he won the Moroccan one-day race Prix ​​du Printemps in Rabat . In the Tour of Egypt in 2009 he was able to win the third stage to Sharm El-Sheikh . He also took tenth place on the fifth section behind the winner Ferekalsi Debessay . In 2010, Chaoufi won a stage of the Tour de Mali and the Tour of Rwanda as well as the GP Al Massira . In 2011 he was the first of a stage of the Tour du Maroc .

Although Tarik Chaoufi had become Moroccan road champion in 2012 and won the overall ranking of the UCI Africa Tour , his association did not consider him for the Olympic Games in London at short notice . One of the reasons given was the rift between him and the German national team coach, Andreas Petermann . Chaoufi also made public that drivers who wanted to go to the Olympic Games would have to pay larger sums to the association and the national Olympic committee.
