Ioannis Tamouridis ( Greek Γιάννης Ταμουρίδης , born June 3, 1980 in Thessaloniki ) is a Greek track and road cyclist .

Career

Ioannis Tamouridis is a multiple Greek champion in the points race , in the individual pursuit , in the scratch , in the road race and in the individual time trial .

At the international level, he was successful both on the railway and on the road:

At the U23 European Track Cycling Championships in 2002, he won the silver medal in the points race. At the 2005 World Championships he also won the silver medal in the points race and in 2006 the bronze medal in the scratch. In the third round of the Track Cycling World Cup 2009/10 in Cali , he won the points race.

In 2009 Tamouridis received his first contract on the road with an international cycling team , the Greek Continental Team SP. Tableware Gatsoulis Bikes . He won daily sections of international stage races , in particular three stages of the Tour of Romania in 2012 . Also in 2012 he won the Algerian one-day race Circuit d'Alger . In 2013 he drove for a year with the Basque ProTeam Euskaltel Euskadi and contested the Giro d'Italia , which he finished in 152nd place.
